My neighbor was on a plane sitting next to Danks. As she doesn't really follow the sport she had no idea who he was, but through the course of the flight found out he was a pitcher for the Sox, a starting pitcher, who is fiance was, where she worked, when/where they were getting married, what were his plans after he was done as a pitcher, etc. But never asked his name. Found out everything under the sun but never asked for his name because she didn't want to seem too intrusive. She only found out it was Danks after her son-in-law showed her pictures of various Sox pitchers.

Nice. 3 up, 3 down. Let's see if Diamond can keep that going. I always get a little nervous when he's pitching. Or Pelfrey. Or Deduno. Or anybody else they put out there.

There's only of Arcia's 500 foot flyballs that didn't get caught on the warning track.

That home run made me stop typing my email, dead in my tracks. I had to raise my fist in triumph as well.

May your typing be perpetually interrupted.

Dozier!?

Of all the guys on the roster, Dozier would not be the guy I would have guessed that would homer in back to back games.

Diamond getting hot!

Diamond as far as I can tell... Throws a 4 seamer... curve and change up... That's it...

With a name like Diamond... He needs to cut that fastball... He'd have a Diamond Cutter.

Do our third base coaches know anything about baseball: situations -- outs, speed of runner, necessity of taking chance, outs and speed of runner, and outs and no speed running?

C'mon.

OK, I'm following gameday remotely. Was that a good throw, or a poor decision to send Doumit home (or both)?

Both.

Doumit was taken by surprise by the throw home. He didn't slide and made no effort to jar the catcher, nearly tripping over his leg. He looked back to Morneau (on deck) who obviously missed telling him to slide or brace himself. There was plenty of dumb to go around.
