exeoud Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Of course Margot comes off the IL in the minimum time required while Buxton and Correa are weeks/months behind schedule.

Jocko87 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I love that view with the MPH on the scoreboard. Corey still selling maaaybe and it flashes to the scoreboard showing 110 and ruins the call.
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Bunt there....WTF Lewis?
exeoud Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Royce is an interesting case study as to how quickly someone can go from a franchise cornerstone to an injury prone Javier Baez clone.
SS MagicMark Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Is Royce really that hard up for hits?

gregens Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I wonder if Margot will pinch hit for Wallner today?
exeoud Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Just now, gregens said: I wonder if Margot will pinch hit for Wallner today? Yup Angels will bring in a lefty in the middle innings and Rocco will panic pull Larnach and Wallner from the lineup so we have Margot and Farmer hitting in high leverage in the 9th inning C-Gangster 1
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 The fact that Zebby is pitching every 5th day in the middle of a wildcard race....woof. Not on Rocco either. This is on the Pohlads. Ownership malpractice. Patzky, C-Gangster, Vanimal46 and 3 others 5 1
C-Gangster Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I know this might be a long shot and not everyone will agree with me but I feel like we should send down mathews call up corey lewis. Peter 1
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Got out of it but hardly fooling the Angels batters. Need another ten spot tonight. C-Gangster 1

Like I said earlier, only positive to Matthews and Festa pitching like crap is ownership is gonna take a lot of heat if they don't pony up for a starter or two this offseason. Whether they care or not is one thing, but at least it puts some pressure on them. Twins_Fan_in_NJ and Peter 2

I don't think they'll be ready for the beginning of the 2025 season.
ziggy Verified Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Matthews has no movement on his fastball. Straight as a bullet. His hits per innings pitched should be a hint to management to find another pitcher. Hosken Bombo Disco and Twins_Fan_in_NJ 2

Sadly enough I can see that if we limp into the playoffs with Matthews and Festa, ownership will see that it worked and not do anything but maybe find another DeScalafini type. Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 The Twins are hitting em harder but the Angels hitting em smarter tonight.

I think Festa will be fine, Matthews not so much unless he gets better stuff or figures out how to throw chase pitches, might work in the minor leagues, big league hitters are too good to pound the zone all the time.
