For a team that allegedly has good numbers against LHP, they face a number of starts who make them look positively impotent at the plate.

As you called  week or so ago, it's a DFA waiting to happen.

Week? I made an audible groan whenever someone first brought him up when varland was sent out of the rotation

Sadly the outcome was very predictable. A pitcher with no out pitch in relief is a disaster waiting to happen. If he wasn’t going to start, idk why he was added to the 40 man over someone else who could help in the pen.

There’s a pill for that. And it works in less than 15 minutes now

Dobnak was never expected to step up and perform. I’m getting good god damn tired of López poor performance. Which in my humble opinion is more distressing than any Dobnak performance.

That is true. Lopez continues to tweak his game but it’s not working. We need him to be dominant in the 2nd half.

Well...I think we got Imanaga'd tonight. Gotta get em tomorrow afternoon.

LHP or not, a "sore" Buxton, Larnach and Wallner are better options than Martin and Margot.

It was 4-2. Not 10-2. Twins are in the middle of a playoff chase. As much as Lopez struggled, I'd take him in the 6th instead of Dobnak, who by the way, was lit up like a Christmas tree by the freaking White Sox.

This is a classic Rocco game where the white flag is raised well before the game is over. The mentality permeates to the rest of the team and why they have these throw away games where they look mentally checked out from the opening pitch.

There's no fire or emotion or gut instincts in that dugout. It's all about analytics and staring straight into space regardless of the game or the situation.

This team should be much better than they are. But when a manager continues to send a message that mental errors and mistakes are tolerated and he himself gives winnable games away, you have a team with a very limited ceiling.

Options were limited. We didn't need anyone at the deadline.

Seriously, I half suspect they intended to waive him when they called him up, on the off chance someone would claim him.

How dare you suggest something so smart?  Don't you know Wallnarch aren't allow to come anywhere close to home plate with a bat when there's a lefty on the mound?  I believe there's a sign in the clubhouse spelling that out.

Gleyber Day Torres got yanked mid game for looking at a line drive he hit off the wall the other day. Should have been a double but could only reach first. Same inning got hosed at home plate on a ball hit to the outfield. Yanked. A tiny bit of accountability would be nice. I’ve never been around a successful team/group/workplace that lacked accountability

What do you know about what accountability there is or isn’t?

My man got paid after 15 starts. He’s laughing at all of us

I know I watched Willi Castro almost single handedly lose back to back games against the Yankees with a plethora of boneheaded moves and he never so much as missed an at bat

Agree with most of this, but I'll give him a pass on using Dobnak.

He can only use the relievers he has, and if Dobnak is here, he's gonna have to pitch in situations that aren't just blowouts.

And I'd say Lopez was about spent.

IMO THIS issue is Dobnak being here in the first place.

Fair point on Dobber.

Hahaha. Guess he didn't get the memo either.

Lot of memos going around. People are much less likely to read memos nowadays. With the internet and such

I think even you'd admit there isn't any evidence any of this matters to the manager. Or at least no evidence of any consequences.
