I really like this stairway to heaven of Alcala in the 7th, Jax in the 8th, and Duran in the 9th.  If Stewart can get healthy and back after the ASG, this bullpen is going to have a plethora of good options late.

I hope Staumont isn't going stale down there (not saying at all he needed to be in tonite)

Was thinking the same thing. We’ve seen him but once the last 10 days? Hopefully there’s nothing going on there.

He warmed up in Seattle on either Saturday or Sunday but didn't get in.

19,600 is weak attendance for a team 10 games over .500 coming into tonight.

It was pending rain and against DET. And early in a holiday week as everybody preps for travel.

As much as I see most moves by the front office as defensible, the business side seems to have done everything wrong (payroll, TV contract) to suppress attendance.

Nobody interpret's Audry's questions from english into Spanish for Santana.  He responds in Spanish.  How?

It is easier to understand a foreign language than it is to speak it especially when native tonation between the two languages is so different; this is from experience.

Exactly.  Plus, a lot of guys might speak English but not at a comfortable enough level to express themselves in a widely-broadcast interview like that one on the field.  Asian golfers are a similar lot where they know what is being asked but they sound more honorable by answering in their native tongue rather than stumbling through halting English.

Having lived in a foreign country I was much better at understanding the language than speaking it. And in that context, on the spot like that, yeah, no, I totally get it

Margot, not Santana, correct?

The interview I saw was Audra questioning Margot.
