First, that burned the outside edge, not down the middle.

But Correa looked either overmatched, or he was looking for a pitch that they never threw him.  4 takes.

Good news beyond the early lead, we put Gausman at 29 pitches in one inning;  excellent to dig into their pitching depth right off the bat of the series.

You are not going to take a top defensive shortstop out of your lineup in the playoffs even if he strikes out every at bat.
