wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 The South Siders have started the retooling process by axing their personnel decision makers.
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Sad day for Twins fans. Hahn has done a lot for this organization over the years... Clare, USAFChief, Mike Sixel and 4 others 6 1
CRF Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Kind of surprised by this, but it's probably time.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I was slightly concerned they would hire someone externally who would turn around the franchise. Instead, they’re promoting their Player Development person, who has been in the role for 7 years. And Dayton Moore looks like a guy who needs to call IT to open an excel file on his computer. Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Also, Tony LaRussa is back as a consultant for the White Sox! No need to worry about them for the next 5 years. CRF, Richie the Rally Goat, Mike Sixel and 1 other 4

That said, I'll gladly let them do it without complaint. Vanimal46, Richie the Rally Goat and KirbyDome89 3

Moore was GM of the Royals from ‘06 to ‘22, including 2014, 2015 when they won the World Series, 4 seasons above .500 in 16 seasons as GM.

Rod Carews Birthday Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 It’s pretty painful. Living here, I hear the Sox fans gnash their teeth about Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn all the time. Unfortunately, from a management standpoint, the Sox have nowhere to go but up, so that puts another team potentially in play in the division race in the long run.

I think the Twins are safe from any sort of competency rising up out of Chicago as long as Reinsdorf owns the team. Rod Carews Birthday 1
