It's a clean inning so that's a mark in Pagan's favor, but it's also the highest leverage moment(s) of the game, so I don't want him anywhere near the mound if that's the case. I'd be able to "forgive," Rocco if Jax imploded in the above hypothetical. I might punch a hole in a wall if I had to watch Pagan blow a late inning postseason lead.

Yeah but haven't you ever rolled the dice? Just think of the possibilities! Wild card round, down 1 game to 0, up by a run in game 2, season on the line, Pagan out to pitch the 8th with the manager's and the entire front office's jobs on the line? Much more drama that way 🙂

Very interesting and provocative question. And I have no idea which one I would choose a month from now. But this week, with concerns about Jax's recent performance, you gotta go with Pagan.

Falveys inability to recognize the need for bullpen help is really going to ruin their chances to finally win a playoff series isn’t it?

They could have given up like 4 prospects in the 20-40 range that none of us had ever heard of for two bullpen guys or could have spent like 11 million in the offseason or even evaluate internal options better (Hoffman, Hamilton, Coulombe, Cano)

Right now Pagan wins hands down. Jax has been very ineffective for about a month. Get him to the IL to rest his tired arm.
