Why even put that in the contract, if you're Boras? I can see the first year or two, maybe, because that's just making up for paying so much up front, Maybe you're right, but I have to believe Correa won't be playing for $10 million then. He'd probably retire. 5 hours ago, twinstalker said: I still doubt that Correa will have no choice but to accept a bad salary. Why even put that in the contract, if you're Boras? We're not even the maid of honor; we're the second bridesmaid! But I hope nobody has a chip. I hope we follow the words of the Bard: All's well that ends well. stringer bell Verified Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 What I've liked about Correa is his relative youth. 2023 will be his age 28 year. He should be in his prime for at least the next four years. Being obligated to pay him superstar money for only six seasons is a definite win for the Twins' FO. The risk is injury. Have the Twins just been unlucky? As a Twins fan for life, I hope so.
Minny505 Verified Member Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 This signing makes a trade for a SP much more urgent. Get that projection up to 87 wins, where the team is more than a coinflip to make the playoffs.
