That is a big jump for the Twins.  This will increase the available salaries to maneuver for better prospects and set us up for a really good prospect in the first round.

Wow, that's a huge win for the Twins. To go from 13 to five is a considerable difference in available talent and pool money.

Draftees and prospects are just that until they prove themselves. Always the case. But to jump from 13 to 5 could potentially be HUGE. Did lady luck finally start shining a bit on the Twins?

We're about due. Especially if she wants to shine a little bit of her glow on roster health. Can we send her a thank you note and a Christmas card?

The skeptical twins fan in me assumes they'll draft the same guy at 5 that they would have at 13, which is the same guy that they'd draft at 37.

 

But it's definitely an odd feeling to be on the lucky side of the lottery after 30 years of the wolves moving down.

The Wolves have won the lottery 2.5 times in the last 8 years (the half for the year that Cleveland won, although everyone knew whomever they picked was being traded, with the Wolves one of the few competitors to be said trade partner).
