Error on Wallner in the first?  Anyone got a description of what happened?

I was typing instead of watching, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounded like he forgot to field a single to right and turned it into three bases.

I really don't understand how our prospects remain so raw in the field, after time in the minors.  They've been playing baseball all their lives, and get professional coaching for a couple of years... and still, this???

He went down on a knee and the ball still went through his legs. He looks like a DH to me.

Coaches who can't teach? Players who won't/can't/don't learn?

Minor League, including AAA is NOT Major League, doing well there too often means squat in the Big Show. but then Wallner was abysmal  even in the Minors.

Maybe AAA for him next year if not , AA.

Contreras, less than 10 hits total but of which 3 are home runs, interesting.

Those are two of the leading possibilities, followed by alien possession and hypnotism by the opponents once they reach the majors.

I don't know that I've ever seen a man picked off second base with the bases loaded before

Where did he think he was gonna go there? Makes 0 sense.

Gio picked off. The base running mistakes never end. What on earth was he thinking there?

Yes. The base running mistakes end when we get out.

He was probably thinking, is this a big enough lead i can score on a shallow single? Oh @#! he's picking me off!

He also mighta been trying to draw a throw, in the hope it was errant and runner on 3rd could trot home.

It is a fine line to play, as he did succeed in drawing a throw. Sadly, it was on target.

I can't see how that would have even been a possibility in this situation.

And yet it happened...

Any other possibilities you see?

If you eliminate all other possibilities...
