We'll see how they finish, they are 42-54 the last 96 games....LOL As is this is a horrible team. I don't care who returns, it will be too late. 78-84 final record.

Defense is the one thing that the Twins are not a failure at, if they lose good defense players, could be very bad. They rank 10th defensively and are still under .500 and will be at the end of the season.

RpR Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 The Twins lack of home run hits really showed up in this series, that is some thing that was poo-pooed as making them to one dimensional in the past, well, that dimension went away and Twins wins, or even close games, with it. Some thing in the psychology of the team changed ( I put that on poor coaching) that ,that, would go pfft so quickly; sad thing is Arraez showd some pop in his bat and most of the rest died.

And Palacios scheduled now at .167. Why was Palacios put in the game? Just to boot the ball? And make the last out? I'd leave Cave in at that point. Made 0 sense, but many of Rocco's moves make 0 sense.

The season isn't over, but the Twins playoff chances are finished. At this point they're playing for a .500 record and nothing more.
solomon1930 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Ryan, Gray and Bundy going against the Royals. Sweep those 3 games and see what happens. Maybe Cleveland stumbles some this week and the 5 games in Cleveland matter.

MABB1959 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Sadly I don’t think things will ever change as long as the Pohlad’s own the team. They may throw us a bone every now (Falvey/Levine, Correa) and then but things don’t really change. The team is not their top priority and I think that is the main reason we will never get big name players to sign here and we need more than one or two. Letting Berrios go was a big sign. He is better than what we have and didn’t trade up either.
Reptevia Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 4.5 back. Below .500. It’s over. The only thing I was wrong about the last 7 games was which team would sweep us. ?
