Channeling Norm MacDonald the G.O.A.T. on Weekend Update:

“The Minnesota Twins announced today that pitcher Tyler Mahle, a recent trade acquisition, would be heading to the 15-day Injured List with an unspecified arm injury.

“President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey said the Twins were trying to figure out ways to reduce the numbers of pitchers with injuries on their staff”

You know, here’s an idea for how the Twins can reduce the number of pitchers with injuries: Stop trading for pitchers with injuries.

I do have to ask how a team gets to the point of owing runs.  Did they take out a runs loan.  What are the interest rates for such things?

Dunno.

That's the money line. You'd have to wager $350 on thr Astros to win $100.

On the other hand, you'd only have to wager $100 on the Twins to win $285.

Most MLB games are less than + or - 140.

That has to be close to a record for a regular season MLB game, no?

Was afraid to play the under,  Thinking Houston will crush it  by themselves,  was 7.5 over and under 8

I didn't know there was such a point.  ?

I didn't either until I literally heard knocking at my door as I was reading "knock knock" in a game thread!

What really drove it home was the fear that it was @USAFChiefthat was knocking!

I interpreted your post as being the score.

I remember when Verlander was traded from Detroit.

Multiple folks here were dead set against the idea of the Twins getting involved.

"Too old"

"Decline phase"

Hahaha

Imagine if Arizona had signed Verlander.  His pharmaceutical supply would be so convenient.  And his new nickname: Big Pharma!

With 3 catchers, Cant wait to see Leon and Sanchez bats both in the lineup, Pretty bad we cant bring up some o.f. help from ST Paul,  any A.A. maybe ?

Lets think positively: Arraez did lead off the game with a deep fly to shortstop.

In fairness, you could almost get by without a LF at that ballpark.

I don’t know, could be, Randy Johnson used to get some pretty lopsided odds from what I remember

I'll say this much: of the MLB stadiums I've been to, MinuteMade is solidly in the bottom 1/4.

Like most indoor stadiums, all the charachter of an airplane hanger.

So our stadium kicks their stadium's ***.
