If the umpires didn’t make it clear to the Twins bench that they were charged a mound visit, that’s on them.

And looking at the reply, Rob Drake made no effort to let Rocco know that he was charged.

To me the umps never gave the indication to anyone , thought they had to make sure the team knows its a visit ?  even the Houston broadcasters saying the same , on the replay the umps should of confirmed it to Rocco or why didnt anyone on the twins bench relay it to Rocco,  Rocco was walking away couldn't see it, yes at first i was wrong, , But at least Roccos gone for this one, and he would of pulled Sanchez anyway

It’s not the umpires job to make sure Rocco knows  the rules. 2 mound visits in an inning and you have to change pitchers. That’s been a rule for a long time. Rocco thought he could sneak a freebie. He got caught, totally on Rocco

There is no comparison between Gordon & Cave. Some players make difficult catches look easy others make easy catches look difficult. Sometimes the eye test fools some people so a player makes a quite competent catch shouldn't qualify them to play a position in CF.

Rocco was wrong but right to get tossed and waste enough time for Sands to warm up.
