Interesting…. I am about 225 miles away and grew up on listening to WCCO especially at night. The only way to listen to the Twins in the 60’s and it was pretty crystal clear unless during storms.

It’s weird down in a river valley here. TV is spotty too, unless you have a really tall antenna

Since Bush forced every thing to go digital  former clear channel stations are history; my home town is 60 miles from the Twin Cities and at night WCCO some time fades away.; used to get KAAY , KOMA and several Chcago stations clear as a bell.

All gone now.

When I was a kid, WHO in Des Moines was on the Twins network, which was wonderful. Their slogan was “coast to coast, border to border, and then some.” I remember hearing it as far away as northern Florida when on vacation.

It was actually a great setup.  See if he chases it once, twice, even 3 times and then when the next one comes in looking the same, he won't swing because he thinks it's going to tail only to see it split the outside edge.

When I was  a kid in the NY/NJ metro area, I used to be able to pick up games from Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and every once in a while got St Louis. All on AM radio at night. I used to fall asleep listening to those ball games.

Hmmmm….. I can still get clear channels later at night? West coast games on WCCO, Rockies on KOA, Braves on WSB(?) Guardians and Reds… and Cubs, Sox and Cards
