I don't think anyone is upset that he's back, and I don't think anyone would be shocked to hear that he's DHing in one of his first game's back, but "complaining" about DH'ing in him game 1 back is completely justifiable, especially when the replacement is Nick Gordon AND you are ending up with one of your best left handed mashers on the bench. There is no doubt about it that the this makes the Twins worse. Just play him at SS tonight (and get Gary in the lineup) and DH Correa tomorrow. 

 

Anyone questioning someone who is "complaining" about that is just looking to flex power. It is a completely fair compliant.

Lines up to be Smeltzer vs Baz, but you could see Smeltzer pushed to Friday with the day off Monday and someone fill the hole on Saturday.

Archer doing a better job managing his pitch count the last couple games. I hope he pitches deep into this game. I’m less concerned about him going third time through the lineup than having the bullpen pitch 4+ innings

Archer has been good through 3. He doesn't have great command, but he isn't missing over the plate which is the most important thing.

Much better pace to tonight's game.  Last night was pretty brutal in many ways and pace was one of them.

Typically, there are two teams that contribute to pace of a game.

It took 2.5 hours to complete 5 innings last night.

Buehrle used to pitch a very fast game. Put him opposite the slowest pitcher on another team … don’t know how that would work
