Bally Sports+ Direct to Consumer App Pricing Announced

With this app, you’ll be able to watch in-market games. At this price, they’re really banking on people being fans of multiple local sports teams to justify the cost IMO. I also have concerns about the quality of the app. Considering Bally Sports app with a cable TV login has issues they have not fixed.

Yeah, that price point is a non-starter for me.  I'm basically still paying for it on my Hulu subscription since it never went down when they dropped it.  

I've been surviving just fine without it, so $20/month isn't something I'm even going to consider.

Can I buy it just for September and cancel? A pennant race might be worth that price. I don't watch that much otherwise.

I'm not a fan of the price at all, more gouging fans at the cost of offering anything that curious non-fans might be interested in checking out. But I'll probably subscribe for just baseball season and maybe an additional month or two if the Wolves are still good next year.

I have absolutely no issues with that price, as I'm currently paying just shy of $95/mo for DirecTV's horrible service and I literally watch zero things outside of sports.

I don't care about the cost. I have DirecTV and watch almost every game on DVR and never live. Last time I checked, you couldn't get to the game in the Bally App without seeing the score or a story about the game on the way there. That alone is a deal breaker. Further, the functionality of the app for fast-forwarding also sucks. I fear this will lead them to play hardball with the few remaining providers that carry them so we're all forced to the God Awful app. I will probably just watch illegal streams from Europe at that point.

I can afford it and my wife doesn’t complain so for me this is better than the current awful arrangement.

But I’m not I’m not concerned about my wallet, I’m concerned about the sport surviving. If $20/month is too much for the casual fan, will the price go down? Or will Bally just say screw it, we’ll write this off as a loss, move on to other investments and not give a cold crap that we just killed baseball?
