stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Corner OF is/was where the Twins’ prospects are/were—Rooker, Kirilloff and Larnach—with Wallner a year behind. None of them has stepped forward yet and Kirilloff might have a chronic injury and Rooker was traded. I won’t make a judgment yet on either player still with the Twins, but it is concerning.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Buxton can look so good ... or so bad!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Might as well move archer to the long relief role

There ain't nobody else. Open to other ideas if you got 'em. Agree with you on the unis though. Aren't those song lyrics? Ain't nobody here but us Rookies... er, chickens. That's it. Let's enjoy us some chicken.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I hope other pitchers and teams are not paying attention to Buxton's inability to not swing at the out off zone high fastballs. Center of the plate, but way high. Or.... that Buxton can adapt and lay off them now. Those at bats were ugly against Giolito. Giolito sure noticed.

From the way Gladden describes it, Archer is getting by on grit, gumption and not much else. I’d be ok if they swapped roles too
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Well, if the Twins do manage to come back and win this game, it looks very much like they’ll be in first place. NY up 9-0 in the ninth.
shortround81 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 The Twins are battling their tails off. Rocco is managing the best he can. I hope everyone is having a good day.

It doesn't make any sense to bring in an equal hitter at best (for now anyway) in Martin and bench/DH Kepler when he is one of the best RF defenders in the game. Maybe so, but my perspective is that the Twins are probably too tied to giving lots of ABs to mediocre veteran players. Time to start finding what’s next
