We have 8 more innings to go …

Sox announcers are already proclaiming they are going to win

I want that broadcast. Pierzinski, correct? I like his style.

I couldn't stand Hawk ... he was HORRIBLE ... and that's being kind ... but the current team are actually pretty good. I don't have a choice, when the Twins play the Sox, but this announcing team is good ... I used to mute the tv when Hawk was their announcer

Harrelson's only quality was his ability to be economical with his vocab, .e.i.,  He gone, Count it, Sox win and so on.

I'll be in and out of today's game thread. I accidentally drank a bottle of invisible ink last night, and now I'm at the hospital.

...

waiting to be seen.

He was the main reason that I upped my MLB.TV subscription to get the away broadcast as an option.

Living in Chicago, there was no option, there still is no option ... but as I said, without Hawk, it's fine

“Watching” on Gamecast”. Was that a bad error by Sanó?

Singularly egregious.

No, Bennetti and Stone ... at least I think that's who it is

I think AJ is on the audio then.

I don't think he does any regular games for them ... he's done some national work, but I don't think he's ever done local, at least not regularly

I think Larnach has his eyes closed. Only possible explanation

Jeffers told him that is how he got his hits.

Some ugly at bats already

Different pitchers from yesterday, how they handle the good ones is what matters, not dumping on average pitcher having a bad day.

Larnach hit a Texas leaguer yesterday night on an "excuse me" swing and the next thing you know everyone thinks he should be playing every day. He runs into a few, sure, but the kid gets eaten alive more times than not. So many fans desperately want him to be good, but since last June we just haven't seen much at all from him. Guy should be in St. Paul, time to look at Lewis and Miranda.

While I'd love that, it ain't going to happen. Lewis will play SS in AAA until Correa is gone. He's the replacement and needs the ABs. Miranda tried LF last year a little in AAA and looked like a 3B/1B out there. In other words, not good. Larnach is who we got until Kirilloff is ready to play or they want to give Contreras a shot. Now's the itme to find out if the kid can hit. If not, he goes back down when Kirilloff is ready to play.

Kirilloff has so far been no better than Larnach; so many here seem to think the young rookies are going to be miracle cures.

They are rookies who may or may not be even average in the Majors; as far a uniforms go, bring back the pin-stripes.

What a throw Larnach! Needed to get out of that with less than 2 runs given up, and that's what we did. Not a great start by Archer. Similar to the last inning of the KC start. Didn't have a feel for the slider.

Gordon must have given Larnach a tip on throwing home; the old bounce it home.

We aren't expecting miracles; we're hoping against hope because the rookies are all we have. There ain't nobody else. Open to other ideas if you got 'em. Agree with you on the unis though.

Archer looking like a bullpen guy. Maybe Winder takes his spot if he pitches well today and goes 5 or the last 6? At the very least, Archer drops off the rotation when Gray is back and we go to a 5 man after May 1 when the roster's cut down to 26.
