TWINS WIN!!

That was so fun. That weekend was so badly needed after a terrible week in KC. Byron Buxton came back looking like the best player in baseball. The AB's weren't great in the early part of the game, but they were great against the WS bullpen. The defense was great. Gio Urshella gave them a chance to win. Winder was good. Duran is electric. Smith only gave up a run to the fake runner.

Thank you LaRussa.....how do you not walk one of the best hitters in baseball with 1st base open and setting up a double play.????  And then to compound the stupidity, you get behind him 3-1 and you still don't walk him.  Instead, through a belt high fastball and watch it fly.  Enjoy the flight back to Chicago.

Buck is playing in unchartered territory. Thanks to you posters for watching the game with me, here in North Carolina. This is almost as good as the Tarheels beating Dook in Coach K;s last home game and then beating Dook again in Coach K's last game ever. Almost.

Hindsight is 20-20. La Russa believed in his All-Star closer and he got beat. Tony's in the Hall of Fame and they aren't going to take him out for that, but I guess I thought it was a real gamble that he didn't have to take.
