DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Could be worse, we're getting a sheet of ice on everything here. Oh yeah I can't WAIT to be watching the Twins in the snow in 25 degrees this weekend...
edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Thanks, Ollie. Who wants this dog?
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Looks like the rain is going to wait there for awhile. At least until 10.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Looks like the rain is going to wait there for awhile. At least until 10. Plenty of time for "straight as an arrow fastball with a 0.00 ERA Mike Pelfrey" to completely dominate the Royals lineup. Right?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Plenty of time for "straight as an arrow fastball with a 0.00 ERA Mike Pelfrey" to completely dominate the Royals lineup. Right? The Horse is my guy for 2013, until of course, as horses are prone to do, he breaks down.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 It's "empty the bench day" I guess. The good thing (or sad, depending on your point of view) is that the bench may actually be better than the starters.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 It's "empty the bench day" I guess. I'm somewhat surprised that Mauer is still in their catching and not DHing. Mauer's catching so far this year is at a level we used to complain about when Doumit did the same. Plus, he took a few pitches to the body yesterday and Sunday.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I'm happy to see Mastro finally get a start. Hicks can be back in tomorrow. Let's see if Mastro is on a roll or not.

To answer your question cryptically, "it depends", does Mastro's walker have wheels on it? The way DicknBert and co. went on and on, it sounded like his shin bruise was possibly career-ending.
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 This is the best lineup run out there so far this year.

The way DicknBert and co. went on and on, it sounded like his shin bruise was possibly career-ending. Yet... He pinch ran and attempted a steal? Very curious signal sent about his health. His shin is OK if he's running in my opinion.

Or, as a practical matter, indistinguishable at this time. At least the middle infielders. Hicks is just due a day off, and Mastro is due a start.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I'm somewhat surprised that Mauer is still in their catching and not DHing. Someone in the organization is trying to prove a point. I hope it is Mauer.

Physics Guy Verified Member Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Mauer is on pace for 20! Bert said Guthrie beat Lloyd Gavin and the White Sox last time out. Dohhhh!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Mauer with a flash of power! Are we at last ready to declare the experiment of Mauer in the two-hole a failure? (Also, if Mauer goes 4-for-4 I am never taking this avatar down, except on Kevin Correia day of course.)
