cHawk Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 A screen on 3rd and 16. Great playcalling.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Lions coach.... Punting.... So stupid.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Man, what a crappy, crappy ending
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Hahahahhahaha EPIC meltdown.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 They played not to lose and did exactly that. Amazing.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 If they lose....it's for the best.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Bad teams will always find a way to lose

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Well they are playing the Lions
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Good for Greg Joseph! What a crazy ending. Never should have needed that last second drive in the first place.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Please fire Zimmer. If the Lions coach was good at all......
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Good thing the Lions went for 2, otherwise the lackluster Vikings would have just settled for overtime
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Championship teams always play to win, they score often, even when they feel they don’t need the points, they are always intense. Does any of this sound like the Vikings, of course not, they will not go anywhere, just playing not to lose, any third grader can see that.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 We won? Is this how that other game was supposed to end, but didn't?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 The Vikings did all they could to lose, but the Lions weren't having it
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 You could tell me they were fighting, not celebrating a win, and I would believe you.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 We now have 4 games in a row without a TD in the 2nd half for the offense. That is a major problem that needs to be addressed.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 No clue what happened to the playcaller from the Seattle game.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 I’m confused what the identity of this offense is, 5 games in. Something is fishy, and I don’t think it’s simply because Dalvin Cook is unavailable. We keep seeing the offense revert back to a conservative philosophy under Zimmer’s tenure. Can we continue firing OCs or lose them to promotion?

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 That was a borderline atrocity... Detroit has almost zero talent on their roster, and still put up a fight. It had a lot more to do with the squandering of talent on the Vikings' roster rather than the Lions playing well. Ugh.

If they open up the offense, it can be great.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Neither KC or Buffalo taking a knee......
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Thielen is starting to look pretty slow. His snap % is still in the 90s, that needs to change and they need to start transitioning to Osborn who's more explosive.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Read a stat that the Vikings have given up over 100 yards rushing in 9 straight games. With solid odds of being 10 straight against Christian McCaffery this week.

That's really, really surprising. Not because the front seven are playing well, just because the secondary is getting roasted so badly I don't know why the other team would ever bother running the football.
