I'm not interested in derailing this thread but if you can't see the difference between referring to a group of people versus LITERALLY a caricature of them as a logo, you're not entering this conversation honestly.

No problem. I wasn't taking it there, anyway. It was an honest question for you, not attached to the logo. I do believe that the name change doesn't take affect until after the 2021 season, anyway. As for the new name, if Target's contract was up at the end of 2021, we would still call it Target field today, I believe. But Gaurdians, or I mean Guardians it is. I like it. I wonder how many people will be spelling it wrong with all those pesky vowels though. I mean, guys on this site struggle with Duffy <sic>, and Rodgers <sic>...... and Kiriloff <sic> especially. Even guys with over 20K posts already, and it is their own team.

Like I said, it was an honest question, not meant to be taken to the heavy zone. No response is the easiest way to stop a conversation, I think. These game threads never go to stuff not about the games, right (which this kinda even is)?

It was just I had just posted a comment that included pesky spellings, and you posted Gordan right after. In light of that, thought you did it on purpose to be funny, which I thought it was!

Well, hindsight being what it is, i am okay with the result.

This plate umpire misses the calls even when he is looking right at it, over the inside shoulder. But opposite. Calls outside balls, strikes, and inside strikes, balls. We get that bad (albeit very close) call. I guess we have to take it.
