The timing couldn’t work out any better if Big Mike finds his way to a quality start. Dude hasn’t had one since the end of May.

And Kepler went yard too.  Could be a productive night in the trade market department.

On another note - Dylan Cease is the CWS #5 SP. Maybe the Twins can get a young guy like Balazovic, Winder, or Ober to take the ball every time out like Cease does.

Won’t be long. Sands is back from injury as well. I think at least one out of the group can be a back of the rotation arm.

Wait, I just walked out of the room. Who did Bremer just say retired from the White Sox?

Edit: Ah, it’s old friend Yermin Mercedes who crushed Tortuga’s 40 MPH lob ball. Good riddance.

Just flipped back on. Why no Pineda in the sixth?

My guess would be to preserve his good start. No reason to put him back out there and risk him giving up a couple of runs. The Twins need him to build up some positive momentum as the trade deadline approaches.

That’s reasonable, I merely hoped it wasn’t health related.

Seeing that he was only at 73 pitches, that's an early pull even for Rocco. I certainly wouldn't rush to get the pen involved in this one...

Gordon has a looooong way to go before he’s a competent CF. He jumps back on so many balls that go 150 feet.

Better to take a step back than jump forward and have it sail over your head
