Abreau is 6'3". and stands a good head taller than our fist sacker, Astudillo.

Astudillo's body composition is 99.7% water, so his height varies with the lunar cycle.

He is currently... waning.

Tide and Astudillo wait for no hitters' counts...

Explains so much.

How happy do you think bert is that he longer is contractually obligated to watch this junk?

What was that? Either throw it, or don't, but that was tired. Simmons is doing some pretty questionable things these days. Add that to his bonehead 3rd out at third in the 3rd.

I got $10 that says both inherited runners score. It is almost a lock with this pen.

Well, I guess I lose because of the fielder's choice that took my trail runner out. But I was half right, and if Hamilton scores, I'll count it because of the fielder's choice.

That ball was hit hard enough that they at least had a shot at the runner at first. Certainly a better shot than whatever Simmons did

Does Derek Law getting blown up really shock anybody? This is the result of investing zero (well 7M, which is basically zero on a team that was a "contender") into a bullpen. Hitting on a waiver wire/AAAA arm and developing them is great, but it isn't something that a b2b division champ should've trusted in. And us fans for believing in it was silly.

If the score once more, does Astudillo get to pitch?

Might as well. The gave up an inning ago anyway. And to think all those who were so bragging about how good this team would be, even as they totally tanked Spring Training. Signed mediocre pitchers ala Terry Ryan.....  this is pathetic.

Yeah, so much for Law being straight fire in Spring Training... we're at the point where they should just claim every single DFA'd pitcher and put them in the bullpen and just pray.

Yes it was. But I wasn't one of us.

He might not have been fire, but he was surely gasoline

Get what we can for these players

cruz

donaldson

simmons

sano

Two of these guys have zero value (Donaldson, Sano), one has a suitor of like 3 teams (Cruz), and the other is an expiring deal, so return will be limited. I agree, trading these guys would be nice, but it isn't like we're going to add multiple top 100 prospects for them

That’s why I said, get what you can. A bag of bat donuts

That was a pitifully quick 9th. Can they just resign like in chess?

If it were, I would have offered a draw before we got to the bullpen!
