wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Eh, not likely. The Twins ran up 37 K's on BP just over the weekend. What if another team needs a guy to throw BP?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 early season Fun with Numbers--Brent Rooker's first pitch strike percentage is 150%.But he battles his tail off...gives 110%.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 What if the team is running low on baseballs for BP?Maybe some Nerf balls for him. I don't think another team would give up regulation MLB baseballs for a pitcher who gives up hits. A pitcher's job is LITERALLY to not give up hits or walks.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Jeffers off to a hot start with the stick...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Robbie Grossman has an average of .000, but an OBP of .615. That is insane.Brings to mind, a former Washington Senator (Griffith organization) third baseman Ed Yost. He wasn't a high percentage hitter, didn't have great power but still led the league in walks several times.
Possumlad Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Twins generally not punishing Urena enough for his lack of control so far... Far too many swings at marginal pitches, given how wild he's been.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Interesting strategy to walk the 9 batter on four pitches to get to the leadoff guy that can't be gotten out.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 TIme to make a grilled ham and cheese with leftover Easter ham. I'll be back.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 TIme to make a grilled ham and cheese with leftover Easter ham. I'll be back. NOT UNTIL YOU TELL US WHAT A FRENCHMAN WEARING SANDALS IS CALLED!!!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Robbie Grossman has an average of .000, but an OBP of .615. That is insane. This is a Twins forum, we only care about Robbie Grossman's fielding percentage.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 oh no...we cannot have nice things.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Watching pitchers like Urena is painful. He can’t find the zone and seems to throw roughly two pitches a minute.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Ohhhh, this wouldn't be good. Please be fine Luis.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Urena is a prime example of a guy who has good to great stuff but can't hit water from a floating boat
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Watching pitchers like Urena is painful. He can’t find the zone and seems to throw roughly two pitches a minute.I'm sure that it's just as riveting for the defense behind him.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I did miss the sarcastic applause from the crowd when a pitcher finally throws a strike
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 That's one way to score a run.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 That's one way to score a run. That was all due to the defense being too preoccupied with Sano's speed on third.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I love you Nelson, but that was foul
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 That was all due to the defense being too preoccupied with Sano's speed on third.Which was exaggerated due to the defense falling asleep behind a pitcher that can't hit the broad side of a barn.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 This game might go almost five hours at this rate.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 HAHAHAHA. Nelson says CHALLENGE THAT
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 If we've got to deal with replay, the very least they could do was get it correct. ...or you just go ahead and hit another anyway!
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Eyy, Cruz missile took about 2 seconds to hit its target!
TFRazor Verified Member Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Nelson Cruz hit 2 Grand Slams in one inning
