Twodogs Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I liked Morneau saying man if you're ever going to lay down a bunt to beat the shift I can't think of a better time to get the tying run on base.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 That's Eddie. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Sometimes all in the same game. There’s two kinds of left fielders. Those who know the rules and those who dig.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Oh well, that's the game. Thanks for the company. Gave us a lot to complain about, didn't it?

jun Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Smeltzer is not a major league pitcherHe should have long gone.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 The play that had the most negative effect was Eddie running through the stop sign and getting thrown out at home with no outs. The Non ground rule double ended up being a moot pointI agree, except you can't excuse Rosario's non-playing of a ball in play, just because of subsequent events. Later being "moot" is unkown and irrelevant at the time.

Rosario didn’t lose the game for the Twins all on his own. The bullpen was terrible
jun Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I know I’m jumping into this thread late, but Baldelli is an idiot! Ok-one run down-2 outs in the 8th-we still have 6 AB’s left, and our manager brings in our worst pitcher?? What the hell is he thinking? Now game would be tied. Hope this doesn’t come back to screw us out of the playoffs!Smeltzer has been bad all season. He should not been on the team.
