Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 A bunt attempt to break it up? Sogard might get one in his earhole tomorrow for that.No. This is what the problem with the classic baseball thinking is. The Twins closest person to the 3rd baseline was Maeda, and then someone playing at the classic shortstop positioning. The game is 1-0. The Brewers need baserunners. If Sogard gets on via a bunt single, good for him. Way different story if Twins are up 8-0 right now.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 does anyone really wonder who the Twins "Ace" is now?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Yeah, that was a fine bunt attempt. Take what they give ya!

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 all that is true but he still might get one in his ear hole tomorrow night...I doubt it. Rocco doesn't strike me as a guy that believes in unwritten rules, and even if he did, that wasn't breaking one.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Twins finally getting some props on MLB Network tonight. Cliff Floyd was going off on how great Cruz has been (and replaying a segment from spring training), and Dan Plesac was loving the powder blues. those guys know what's up....the rest of the world can't deny it forever.....we are here to STAY
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 its kind of cool to hear the ump go STRIKE!
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 cum on Kenta.......(i cross my fingers tight)
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Just flew in...not really...and boy are my arms tired! INTERESTING GAME!!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Who is this Maeda guy, where did he come from, and how long do we have him for?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Who is this Maeda guy, where did he come from, and how long do we have him for? Good question. Stay tuned for the answer!
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 damn i love this guy....What a great trade!
Sielk Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 This game is so worth watching even if I have to stay up the entire night for it. (I live in Europe.)
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I'd be surprised to see Maeda back out there for the 8th
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Sano again!!! Gotta get him in
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I'd be surprised to see Maeda back out there for the 8thI dunno, they should give it to him. Only 91 pitches, hasn't given up a hit... Maeda won't die if he goes over 100 pitches today.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 SA-YES the big man breaks it out!!!!!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Excited and pumped and you want history and you never want to pull a pitcher with a no-hitter...but...over 90 pitches and 2 innings to go and the short season...just have to think about pulling Maeda soon don't you???
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 mr. Clutch is due for a big base hit....
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 BTW, Brewers uniforms look like a little league team but I LOVE them!
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I dunno, they should give it to him. Only 91 pitches, hasn't given up a hit... Maeda won't die if he goes over 100 pitches today. I’m with Milldaddy. He’s thrown 80-85 pitches in his four games so far, so he’s already past that. If it was through eight, I’d let him go, but he’s almost certainly not going to get another 25 pitches to go through two more innings.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Adrianza pinch runs for Sano. Portends the strong fielding team for the remainder of the game.
Diesel Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Maeda needs to finish this if he doesn't allow another baserunner, but I also don’t want another Johan Santana situation.... I’m conflicted

Maeda won't die if he goes over 100 pitches today.I know what you're saying, but 85 is the most he has thrown prior to this and it's a 1-0 game. If the score is 5+ to 0 you surely send him out, but that isn't the case here. I do think you probably see Maeda out to start the inning, but one Duffey/May/Romo will be ready as soon as we see a baserunner
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 With the game at 1-0, I could see another inning because of the game situation and how well he’s dealing. If they get a couple here, I definitely go to the pen.
