It’s astonishing to me that Zimmer went to the grave with all three second-half time outs.

 

Even if Diggs hangs on to that pass they can use time outs after they kick to San Fran, but there’s just not enough time. Of course it didn’t really matter how many time outs the Vikings had anyway, they lost the game earlier in the half.

What a shame. The OL got dominated by a very good DL. Time to look for Elflein and Reiff’s replacements. I’m ready for Cousins’ contract to end after 2020. I’m ready to move on from Zimmer...

I actually like Cousins to a point. He can make all the throws. Put him in a good system and he'll succeed. I don't buy into the record against good teams. I think it is much more a reflection of being on crappy Washington teams, and in the Zimmer system.

There was a 3 and out in this game where the Vikings ran on first down, then completed passes on 2nd and 3rd down...and ended up 4th and 7.
