yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I really wish we would stop throwing infielders into the outfield.I really wish the outfielders we have would stop getting hurt. But I didn’t find a genie lamp, so...
David HK Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Wow! This really is a magical day! Just checked in, and saw the Tigers scored an actual run!! (Oops, so did the Sox...) But magic number? It's a lucky one!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Nova is out already?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Nova is out already? He started on on the 15th and got knocked out pretty early so they put him out there as an opener.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Nova is out already? Scheduled bullpen day for him. He pitched three days ago.

bird Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I'm mystified how a team like the White Sox can have so many excellent players but lose so much. Was this the Twins just a few years ago? That might be an accurate observation.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Alright. Time to get the bats going. Get Jake some run support!

Was this the Twins just a few years ago?Steve Stone talked about this stuff in his opening monologue when the series began. The topic was how bad the Sox record was when they don't hit a HR, (something like 11-50), but he branched off into how many stupid mistakes they make on the basepaths and in the field. Then, lo and behold, Moncada has that game where he gets thrown out, picked off, and loses the plot on Arraez' cue shot. This team, like a lot of bad teams, is its own worst enemy.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Where’s Renteria?

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 C'mon Jake, get this guy!
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Odorizzi is looking really solid tonight. Seven strikeouts and keeping the Sox off balance. If Arraez makes that catch, which he should have, this is a 0-0 game.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Time to get some hits and runs!
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Well that was uneventful.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 <yaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnn>
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Odo is pitching too well to have such an anemic offense. Let’s go Twins!
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Jake just hates being efficient through five innings...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Odo is pitching too well to have such an anemic offense. Let’s go Twins!I know that it’s not really the case but doesn’t it seem like that happens a lot. One of our starters come through and the offense doesn’t.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Cleveland tied at 1 with Detroit.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I was afraid Palka would connect, despite his terrible stats for the Sox.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 How about putting together an inning, fellas?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Kyle Gibson nominee from the Twins for the Roberto Clemente award. Well deserved!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I guess I'll be satisfied with six innings from Odorizzi. Worried about this inning.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I'm going to jinx the no hitter by mentioning it.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 That was stupid. Should have just intentionally walked him and saved the five pitches.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Ahhhhh.... back from class just in time for a Jake-spolsion about to happen! (Cue announcers: "This all happened with two outs...") **Welcome edit addition** Whew! Somebody's 15-year-old son comes out of the pen and shuts the door! And good luck on that Geography quiz tomorrow, Cody!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 5.2 for Jake.As expected.
