Arraez is potential batting crown material next year. He has not slowed down one bit. The most pleasant surprise on this team this year.

good inning for Smeltzer. He will need a bunch of those because Cleavenger is going to be hard to score on, even when our hitters aren't slumping.

 

Dyson-Davis trade. Good thing for Twins that Davis has not hit at all after being called up to SF, because Dyson came here as damaged goods and has been useless to us.

Really makes no difference whether Davis thrives or not. Dyson was supposed to provide a reliable bullpen arm and probably won't. Disappointing for sure.

While it is nice to see Clevinger in the mid 30s through 2, don’t get too excited. He hasn’t thrown fewer than 100 pitches since mid July and hasn’t thrown fewer than 109 since August 24.

This is going to be a long unhappy day with AB's like these. Smeltzer will have to be perfect to keep Twins in this game. This isn't exactly what we want in a showdown series. Perhaps 2nd time thru the lineup???

Agree about Dyson. Just that Twins gave up a prospect (looking more impt now that Buxton is out for the millionth time) that was absolutely tearing up the IL like no one has ever done over his first 41 games. Maybe they didn't feel he was a grade A prospect but he surprised everyone. That Dyson has been a miserable flop just rubbed a bit of salt in the wounds....from this perspective.
