Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap to the batter for hitting a good pitch where he doesn't usually hit them.

My point is...he's not going to hit it where he usually does when facing (possible) 100 and it's extra innings and a professional hitter will do what needs to be done (that's not try to hit a Bomba) and make contact where they ain't = Win the Game

Now for some Squirrel Magic

Dear Analytics Department

Some real world old school advice to all the analytical folks at Puckett Place

All of your great shifts are awesome but they are based on averages against every pitcher faced, which while generally effective....I sure wish common baseball sense would be applied when it's close and late AND facing 100MPH pitcher

Death by overthink

Graterol gets a sharp grounder to second to end the inning because Perez is late on a heater

It's still baseball played by humans not robots

And, I would have preferred a robot, not the human, fielded that ball to third...

The guy throws 100...the odds were good that a batter might end up going opposite field

This game is literally like a clone from the last game we played against them at home.

Our bullpen is still the weakness.

Damn..i almost forgot that Cruz might be hurt...couple people hurt and a loss

Perhaps the strangest thing about this wrist injury is it seems to occur against Cleveland and always in the first game of the series.

You aren't going to win most games when you score 2 runs in 11 innings. Plus Thorpe/Graterol/Hildenberger probably aren't going to be on the postseason roster.

Pineda's start was really encouraging. Postseason worthy, clutch performance. Graterol probably cemented himself out of the postseason roster. The positive here is it is better to know now then for him to do that in the postseason. He is a developing superstar but not there yet.

FYI: 1 of those BBs and 1 of those hits were on Hildy.

Actually 1 walk, 1 hit batter, 2 hits, 0 outs for Graterol. 1 walk, 1 hit, 1 out for Hildenberger. Both were terrible. Both should not be on post season roster.

I know I've said this repeatedly in the past, but I REALLY feel bad for the Twins marketing department. One of the all time great teams on the road...at home we really struggle.

And Oakland has just blown a 4 run lead. Ugh. Would dearly love for Tampa and Oakland to shut Cleveland out of the postseason.

Thorpe might. He is another lefty option. He has strikeout ability. He and Littell would make bullpen better and both can do multiple innings as well.

You think “terrible” is the word for Graterol? I don’t. The walk was an IBB (questionable decision there) and the singles were grounders. One grounder was hit directly at a fielder that should have ended the inning.

I am watching this game on Reply after work at Midnight...and from what I heard about our pitcher, can I take back my nice words from the other night? Better luck Saturday! I might be there for luck....
