Some one pointed out that we just passed the 40 game mark. Half way through the first half of the season. Zeno would be proud. If he knew about Major League Baseball.

 

I am taking a cue and writing half of a game thread intro. The good half, i hope.

 

When i finish my parade, maybe i'll write the other half?

 

Only one way to find out.

 

Things to think about.

 

1. Winning. I'm positive about this. It takes thinking to win.

 

2. Numbers. It helps to have more.

Cleveland is blanking Baltimore 7-0 late in the game today, looks like the Twins won't be gaining any ground. Motivation for a sweep!

After careful screening of the announced line-ups plus error prone calculation using proprietary formulas cleverly devised by a slightly inebriated quasi-gentleman of German-Irish descent, said calculations further refined by blindfolded dart throwing by the same quasi-gentleman using either hand, I put the over/under for this titanic clash at 4 runs for the Twins.

 

I might be over. But I could be under the coffee table.

Oh, and my random tale...

 

One of the fellows i paraded with today was from Woonsocket, and upon hearing i was a Twins fan, regailed me with tidbits about or coach, who apparently hails from the area.

Absolutely terrible to see that overturned. The only possible reason for that is that someone in MLB wants to keep games competitive or something, or favor home teams when challenges are made.
