I actually like ketchup on my hotdogs. And mustard, and chopped onions, and sweet relish. With a double chaser of antacids.

I would also like to disclaim the lack of a schedule for Game Threads. Much too entertaining to leave open to chance.

Ketchup on hotdogs in Chicago is practically illegal. Of course they put all kinds of other nonsense in those Chicago hotdogs.

I now respect Chicago.

IMO, anything is acceptable on a hot dog, as long as two rules are strictly followed:

1) No ketchup.

2) Mustard is mandatory. And it must be yellow mustard. No dijon, brown, spicy, honey or any other fancy mustard.

Mustard, onions, pickles, jalapenos, bacon, lettuce and hot sauce is my personal preference.

You’d probably like the Chicago hot dog then. Ick.

Oh man, I love a good Chicago dog.

Heh ... yuck ... I can't stand them. And that bright green relish? No.

What's interesting is that that contract was the same $ per year ($23M), just one year less than Mauer's deal. If plenty of Twins fans were grumbling about Mauer's contract, I can't imagine what those fans would say if they were stuck with Davis' contract....for three more seasons after this one.

I also love that Khris Davis for the A's has hit 40+ homers the last couple of years (and currently leads MLB with 10 already this year). What's in a name?

Chris Davis signed his contract two months before he turned 30. Mauer turned 28 the first year of his contract.

That kinda makes a difference.

I'm sorry, can bang on me all you want, I use mustard AND ketchup on my dogs and brats. Also like some sauerkraut on my brats at times.

Never done a true "Chicago" dog. That's just too much stuff, IMO. I'd go to Subway if I want a layered "sandwich".

Really wondering about that 26th man for the DH tomorrow. Romero? Eases? A surprise like Morin?

Romero confirmed as the 26th man.

Rainout could cause a problem for Wednesday, since Berrios would have been scheduled to pitch. With Berrios and Perez on Saturday, followed by Gibson, Odorizzi, Pineda, they could have to bring up a minor leaguer on Wednesday.

OR, with Romero available in the second game and Perez having worked on shorter rest earlier in the season while in the bullpen, it seems like it's an option to pull Perez after maybe 50-60-ish pitches on Saturday (unless he's pitching great, of course) and then bring him back on Wednesday. If Perez gives four innings and Romero three, it's like the starter getting seven, which would be a welcome change.

Then, Berrios could go on Friday and Gibson, Odo, Pineda all get an extra day and everybody stays in the same order.

Or better, get Berrios about 15 runs and pull him after three so that he can come back on Wednesday and skip Perez the next time around.

If they call up a minor leaguer for Wednesday, it’s worth noting that Zach Littell pitched tonight, so he would be in line. Stewart started last night. Of the two, Littell is trending better.

If they did that, the Twins would most likely skip someone next time through, not necesarily Perez though.
