I started at 84 wins, but that was based on winning three of these ... I didn't expect a sweep in KC, so I'm down to 83 wins ... Probably not enough for a WC game

Whew, that is really fine-tuning the forecasts.general-tools-laser-distance-measurer-10

Surprisingly not! My wife requests she be home while I do wiring.

Not sure if she wants to watch me die, or what....

It's true, Version 1.0 did leave a lot to be desired.

Well, the positive of winning two games against two expected NL East contenders has been wiped out by losing 3 of 4 at home to a team projected to lose 90 plus games.

Good teams beat teams they should beat.

To me this looks like a very mediocre team. Bad bullpen, thin rotation, inconsistent offense. They might be better than the other 4 teams in the division, but they are still greatly outclassed by legitimate contenders.

Dysentery was always my to-go.

I never encountered that problem there, when I lived in the Bay Area.

Frustrating series, that's all that can really be said. Was a chance to continue to build on momentum we'd already developed and we did the exact opposite.

That's baseball, I guess

Top of the lineup, that has been coming through.... 0-fer 12 today. Buxton so close to a couple dingers. Tough loss.

I always made chicken cordon blue for dates I wanted to impress. Super easy, but looks hard to make.

I’ve always wanted to do that!

But my wife would never give me her recipe.

Such is the life of a HR offense. My question: if you win a 10-2 game and lose two games 4-2 and 4-3 you are averaging 5 runs per game, and are 1-2. The inconsistency of the HR offense is my problem, not the amount of runs scored. Runs prevented are likely more important, and easily more consistent.Someone above mentioned the Rangers of yore. Seems this team could be a doppelgänger!

Tom Kelly always said it takes 40 games to see what type of team he has. One thing I have noticed is they're never really out of any game. The games they lose are close and they're usually close to coming back.

Concur with the coming back.

I hope we got us a ball team.

Be pretty silly if it was a polo team. Though then we might have the horses...

Quidditch would be cool. Flying brooms, man!
