Couple more games like this and Falvine will have to cross "Pummel the Royals" off their list of ways to maintain a fig leaf of competitiveness for this team.

Not sure if that’s a comment on the Twins, or a taunt to the fans, or what ..

Yes, I do. Perfect games are so rare that I've yet to see one. Plus, it's not like the Twins are in a playoff race or anything.

Looks like the Twins have a chance to be a victim of a Dallas Braden-esque perfect game ... The guy only needs three outs ... Lopez just has to make sure none of the next three guys get on ... He hasn't walked anyone yet ... Everything is going to be really well for him.

Seeing reed again and i think overall it might be the worst of all the new guys this year, with his 2 year deal

I'm not sure what happened to him, but something did happen because he was around his career velocity early and he was dominating. Unfortunately, it's looking like for the contract he has, the only value we got from him was 2 or so dominant months.

Lopez has a career 6.31 ERA at AAA, by the way. Dick's comments about him dominating AAA are not true...

 

Dick was calling the David Wells perfect game and stopped just short of claiming it should be invalidated by MLB due to the abysmally low level of talent in the Twins' lineup.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if Pohlad personally threatened to "release the hounds" on him if he ever disparaged the product on the field that strongly on the air again.

 

So maybe playing up Lopez' ability is just Dick protecting his own professional fanny.  Or maybe it's just Bremer being Bremer.
