Brian Dozier Leaves Game With Dizziness, EKG Shows 'Abnormalities'

Dozier left Monday's game against the San Francisco Giants in the ninth inning after experiencing dizziness. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that the EKG revealed "abnormalities" but did not elaborate beyond saying that Dozier would be further evaluated Tuesday.

 

"That's the extent of it right now," Roberts said, according to MLB.com.

Dozier has been cleared to play and is listed as leading off for the Dodgers tonight.

The "turnaround" may be that the EKG abnormalities have been by now compared to a database and determined to be of the non-life threatening kind, with a good prognosis for athletic endeavors. The abnormalities themselves may not have been "resolved" in any sense.

Might be good in the long run, if an over-the-counter medication gave him a heads-up of something lurking below the radar. An EKG showing abnormalities isn't something I would simply dismiss after the symptoms subsided. But, likely this means he's not at unusual risk to continue his normal strenuous activities.
