Bet Molly wished he had used someone else yesterday in a non-save situation. Oh, yeah, I forgot.

We only have a 3 man bullpen: Pressly, Hildy, and Rodney!

If Rodney fails here, it’s not on him. Major leaguers or not, you can only use these relievers so much.

Never mind about using up Rodney's availability, here he is. I guess Molitor can't fathom having any other reliever get the save.

Well, now the foolish decision to pitch Rodney in a non save situation the other day comes in to play. He hasn’t pitched three days in a row all year and I’ll bet not often in any recent year.

I had been critical of the FO when they signed Rodney, but I’ll admit, I was wrong. They obviously felt they had no one in the system capable of closing games, and apparently that’s what Molitor thinks too.

That’s 50 pitches for Rodney in the last 3 games. Playing with fire, IMHO!

After today's performance he'll probably get a Castro like contract!

That will probably come down to how well he targets a pitch.

The old "Blues Alley" of MN had a band led by Jimi "Prime Time" Smith. Played a song, "I'll Play the Blues for You." Unbelievable rendition.

Nice addition to my playlist. I'm not a blues expert by any means, I just keep re-discovering it. :)

On first listening, it reminds me so much of "When A Blind Man Cries" by Deep Purple, which is a polarizing song for many (including the band members). Deep Purple's song dates to 1971, Your song, originally by Albert King according to Wikipedia, came out in 1972. I sort of doubt either writer copied the other, but perhaps there is some sort of common influence going further back.

Well, it's long been acknowledged that Rock has it's roots in the Blues.

For instance, Aerosmith may have been a rock band but their stuff definitely was definitely Blues based.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I ran across what might possibly be the greatest Blues song in history, at least based on the title:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltUIzcTUBcM

''Is You Ever Seen A One Eyed Woman Cry?'' I mean, how sad is that??? She's crying. And has only one eye to cry out of.

Anybody have a better example they want to nominate?

Not a music reference, but have you seen the sad clown in the iron lung?

Awesome. If Rocko's Modern Life had had the genius to draw him with just one eye, they could have written a blues song about it.

Nothing is stopping us from making music...
