Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I have this icky feeling that the HR is going to be the only time the twins bats sniff a run. I don't like that feeling.do you mean "the HR" in the abstract? Then the Twins should hit a few more today
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 And what's GT stand for????If for a Twins fan, Get Therapy.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 do you mean "the HR" in the abstract? Then the Twins should hit a few more today Unfortunately, I mean in the singular form but hoping for something more along the abstract form.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Author Posted June 10, 2018 Short circuit MY humor? // President Trump, at his morning intel briefing today, learned that two Brazillion soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack in Rio yesterday. He was quite upset. “Two Brazillion soldiers!” He exclaimed. “My god, how many IS that??”By short circuit, mean goad into blinding glory. Much as happens when you stick a fork in a toaster. Not that i have done it. Or advocate it. I might advocado it though... In that the instant flash is so much brighter than say, the dull glow of a pickle.

It'll go well with the tequila I'll need to get through this inning.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I was expecting more of these type of games from Romero - he's still got a lot to learn as a MLB starter, and he'll have to endure bumpy starts like this one.

In a sense, it's good for him. These are good learning experience. Berrios seems to have learned a lot from these types of outings.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Need to keep this game close enough...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 ...to gather another 30 some odd posts.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 ...to gather another 30 some odd posts. We need Bark for that.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 ...to gather another 30 some odd posts.I'll get a good chuckle out of this if the postings go like the Twins bats and go completely silent. It would be oddly fitting.

S. Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Romero really really needs to get out of this. I can't handle 5+ innings of our bullpen.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I feel the offense is about to get on a (Esther) Rolle. Dy-no-MITE!

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Bert: "I think people like to see home runs." Dick: "THAT's why you gave up 50 one year." //Stop stealing my lines, Dick!
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 We over 100 yet? And what's the prize to the winners?
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Not having Mauer is clearly a big deal, but it is hard to understand why the Twins hitters are so uncompetitive. The lineup should have the depth to overcome losing somebody, but that hasn't been the case at all. The Twins are only a few more series losses away from this season being officially lost and players being traded. Falvine did everything they could to build a contending team for this year. Unless things turn around quickly, it just didn't work out. These are not the Twins of the early 2010's, but the underperformance is almost beyond explanation.

Is it? .760 OPS, built almost entirely on walks and a few soft singles to left. He's not an impact offensive player, and hasn't been for years now.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Nice job Garver. You couldn't have made contact one pitch earlier??
S. Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Well, I guess that is one way to "move" the runner to second.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 ADRIANZA!! Triple! The guy we pinch hit for last night!

He's not an impact offensive player, and hasn't been for years now.For a lineup that features only two players with a BA over .240, they need all the help they can get. He may not be an impact player anymore, but he's at least competent. That's more than you can say about 7/9 of this lineup on any given day.
S. Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Nice to see the bottom of our order string together some hits. Now we need to string together a few more because a 1 run lead is not nearly enough for our pen.

But I don't consider him a "big deal" any more. Bigger deals are the struggles of Dozer, Sano, and Buxton, and the weak bench the Twins started the season with.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Robbie Grossman would probably make for an excellent beekeeper.

Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Adrianza is hitting .320 over the last 10 games.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS Houston went 3-for-4. He's hitting .333/.415/.505 (.920) since joining the Kernels. He added his fifth and sixth doubles. Explore Marek Houston News >
