twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 I just hope the front office quickly to trade some players so that we can compete No.1 pick in 2019 rule 4 draft.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Call up Gordon. Don't care if he's "ready," you can't keep running out this lineup. Trade for a catcher, Realmuto is my choice. Bite the bullet. Should have added a RH hitting OFer over the winter. Might be too late now. So easy to see. Can't really plan for Buxton sucking, or Sano not being able to stay on the field again. But you don't have to sit on your hands and let the season fall apart. We have an above average catcher, but for some reason he is getting a night off every other night. That isn't his fault.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2018 Author Posted May 19, 2018 I talk about 25 guys who can play ofteh. The Brewers are an example of what I'm talking about. The Brewers have Braun,Thames and Vogt on the D.L. The Twins have Castro, Sano and Polanco out. Look who the Brewers can fill with and Look who the Twins are filling with. 25 guys who can play is what I dream about.
OldTimeTwinkie Provisional Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 What's the over under on any given night on total hits with these 4 bottom hitters?

Probably the most disappointing part of the whole situation. “There’s no one else” has been said a lot about this roster

He might turn out to be a decent hitter. I think the reason Wilson is playing so much is the manager doesn't like his catching either. Platoon 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 I don’t rail on Joe often at all, but that was about as lame of a swing as you’ll see on a 3-1 pitch. USAFChief 1

Not as though there are a lot of options otherwise. Might as well make something of the situation. Edited May 19, 2018 by wsnydes USAFChief and nicksaviking 2

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Pitching hasn't been great, but offense hasn't either. Twins offense has failed to score 10 runs yet.

Or are the just good against the Twins. Who's this Choi character?

twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Is it just me or does Buxton start every at bat with two strikes before he even steps in the box?Me, too. Every pitcher knows he will not hit first two pitches so that they throw middle pitches a power hitter will drive HR, but Buxton can't. He is such an overrated player because his speed.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Buxton. Is. Horrible. Can't even give a competitive ABHonestly just feel bad for him. He can’t possibly be having an ounce of fun even with the $$
mrmpls Verified Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Buxton needs to go to Rochester , and tell him we will see ya after july 4th, he will never be a hitter with that wide stance and lunging out = POPUPS and fly balls , dont they see it??? needs to choke up and learn how to hit down or a even plane,
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 It's getting late early. The only thing keeping the Twins alive is the underperformance of the Indians, who are still the overwhelming favorites. Playoff probability drops by the day while the Twins continue to lose winnable games against mediocre pitchers. Only real hope now is for Santana and Sano to come back and be productive. The Indians won't be this mediocre all year.
