I think Escobar might get Sunday off. I don't think he's had a day since Sano went on the DL. With Monday an off day, it's two days in a row to recharge for that final push.

 

Be interesting to see who else might get off either tomorrow or Sunday. Mauer, Dozier and Polanco are pretty likely candidates as well.

I'm not sure you give anybody a day off at this point. One game could cost you a playoff spot right now, as well as the Rangers are playing.

Yeah, definitely not seeing good Gibby so far. Get a little lead and give it right back.

It's 2-1 in the third and he's thrown 36 pitches.

Well, I think he had one game in NY as the DH. That's like a half day off. Until (If) Sano returns, he'll probably do that again.

And if they are gassed and don't perform, the result is the same. Adrianza is a more than adequate fill in offensively and defensively.

We'll just agree to disagree on that. I'll take Polanco, Rosario, or Escobar 10 out of 10 times in a must-win game....which they all are.

 

Think of the reaction if you give guys a day off and get passed by the Rangers or Angels or lose a 163. Its fireable.

There is scheduled to be. Presumably in case of a game 163 or other potential make up games.

Well let's hope the entire team gets an off day

Not sure on that one. Id think there would be one for the WC game, but just a guess. If we're talking 163, I'd guess that's less likely.
