The more runners on base, and the fewer the number of outs, the less the likely the Twins are to drive in the run.

This is beyond axiom, to hard-and-fast law of the physical world at this point.

I feel like every game from here on out is 2 things:

1. Must

2. Preparation for the post-season.

The Twins have GOT to learn how to drive runs in with less than 1 out...and the bases loaded.

Polanco must have missed a hit and run sign at the end of that last inning. No reason for Mauer to be trying to steal there. Or maybe Mauer did. My bet is it was Polanco. And he took an easy pitch to at least touch with his bat to protect the runner.

Not really a hit and run. 3-2 count, you start the runner hoping to avoid a GIDP. Of course, you're hoping the hitter doesn't look at strike 3.

Wow. Really didn't think that bases loaded screw up would matter, as the Padres have checked out.

We don't deserve to make the playoffs if we drop games like this one.

It is wierd that Hildenberger has reverse splits. Righties are hitting him much better than lefties.

That's the third HR he has allowed to a RHB in fewer than 100 PA.

If you think about it, the way the ball travels in on a hitter with his delivery is more like a lefty.

I'm sure Molitor and the front office pitching gurus know this - but maybe not :(

The Padres swept the Dbacks in the previous series and before that they took 3 out of 4 against the Dodgers.

They aren't going to just lay down...

You must have missed the game yesterday.

Robbie grossman might as well hit the showers. When he hit into that double play your could feel the mojo change 2 states away

The definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

Molitor keeps bunting.

Hmmm.
