Lol @ Torii telling buxton how many times Ruth and Jeter struck out

And hopefully home runs or hits were not mentioned!

Y'know, it's a small world.  I went to the theater last weekend with Mrs Chief.  There was a lady, an, uh...sort of elderly lady, sitting a couple rows in front of us, and I just couldn't get over the feeling that I knew her.  Finally, it hit me...I was pretty positive I had it.  She had been one year ahead of me in high school, and I had had the biggest crush on her all through school.  I was sort of shocked at how much she had aged, but I decided that after the play, I would go and say hello.

So after the play, Mrs Chief and I went up and I said, "Escuse me, but did you graduate from CHS?"  "Why, yes," she said.  I asked the year...."Yes," she said, now clearly getting the idea, but I could tell she didn't recognize me.

"And you, too?" she asked.

"You got it,"  I smiled.

She looked just a bit embarrassed, and admitted she didn't recognize me.  So she asked, "I'm sorry, but what classes did you teach?"

Buxton with a hit against Verlander. Hope that does wonders for his confidence.

Well, it didn't help his base running.

I missed the first couple of innings because my youngest son stopped by and we decided to go out to dinner.

He chose the Panda Buffet and I usually like Buffet's.

I was surprised... Nothing but actual Panda Bear's sitting at the table and I'll admit that the bamboo was really hard to chew and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to digest it.

Polanco just cost the Twins a run with his defense... Escobar would've had that. I also thought Mauer should've dived for that pop up by Miggy.

I don't agree with that at all. He ranged several steps to the third base side. The ball was simply out of his range. Escobar isn't quicker than Polanco.

I agree Escobar probably doesn't get it.  But there are major league SS's who do.

Before the season I would have absolutely taken the pitching we've had in expense for the crap offense... But at this rate it's very frustrating to watch that you almost wish you'd see more 8-6 wins or losses

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen a Twins pitcher make a hitter look feeble like that. That was cool.
