Blake Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Thanks Breslow. I think you're gonna be more successful somewhere else. Bad enough to part ways, but lie to Breslow also?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Bad enough to part ways, but lie to Breslow also? If only every one of my ex girlfriends thought like you
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 We should see if that mike hamburger guy is still around It's the Twins. Let's not be surprised if they end up making inquiries about the availability of Mike Hammer. http://www.aveleyman.com/Gallery/ActorsK/9154-30799-0.jpg
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 You know it's been a dandy of a night when the telecast picks up the steady hum of the dugout bullet heaters
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 We should see if that mike hamburger guy is still aroundI think he might be just across the river in St Paul. Plenty of time to get him here for the top of the 8th.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I see that BB Ref lists Cleveland 2b/attack hamster Jose Ramirez' height as 5' 9". I'm assuming that like Fletch, that's with the afro: http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2017/03/25/images/mlbf_1247063883_th_45.jpg Seriously, though... 5' 9"? The kid looks like he needs a step stool to put money in a soda machine.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Way to speed up the game, MLB. Watching this thing to end is going to be harder than staying up until midnight on New Year's Eve was when I was eight.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 It doesn't help Hughes and his declining stuff when the right fielder just plain drops a ball.Yeah, but the outfielders have been saving Hughes bacon this year. Time for him to return the favor. Okay, yes, I know he didn't but, still, it's the thought, right?

I can't stay up for it now, especially since dick Clark is no longer with us
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Is it harder to hit .400 or .087?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Is it harder to hit .400 or .087?Yes.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Is it harder to hit .400 or .087? It's much harder to hit .087 than .400 if you've only had 5 at bats. Does that help?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Huh. Mauer GIDP after taking two strikes. Don't see that every day.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Huh. Mauer GIDP after taking two strikes. Don't see that every day.Right, sometimes we play at night and sometimes it rains
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 getting caught up... Buxton bunting with two on, two out is stunningly, stunningly poor judgment. With night games finally, Buxton should be having full, vigorous rounds of live BP this week. This is what they came up with?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Maybe this is just me being foolishly optimistic, but my hope was that it would be at least May before the net positive takeaway from a game would be 'At least the Rule V kid looked good in long relief'.
snepp Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Huh. Mauer GIDP after taking two strikes. Don't see that every day. Nope, every 9th day.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 So I've know this guy for years and years. And I'm, uh, getting just a bit forgetful these days. I was so embarrassed the other day...we were playing gin rummy, penny a point ain't no one keepin' score, like we've done every week for decades. I looked at my friend, and sheepishly said, "This is terrible, but...I'm drawing a blank here. What is your name again?" He got this very angry look on his face as he stared at me, unblinking, for at least 30 seconds. Finally, he shook his head disgustedly and said, "I'll hafta get back to ya on that."
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 A home run last inning woulda been good, too

I was hoping it would be at least May before anyone referred to that from Haley as "Looked good."
70charger Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Sano's looking good this year. I'm pretty optimistic at this point.
