Okay, my 2nd ST game, not counting parts of some minor league games I've seen. Minor league games are great fun. But the totally geeked out participants make me a little nervous. Pictures of this will not be posted to protect the not-so-innocent geeks. (You know who you are.)

I'll post lineups once in my seat, but for now this is my vantage point:

You and Chief hanging out together? He's there, right?

speaking of nonsense. hm, I got nothing I guess. Maybe when I get home and drink some inspiration...

I've seen Chief and Ash as recently as 10 minutes ago. I've seen Halsey a couple times this week. And I'm told Thrylos is around and may have had him pointed out to me, but haven't officially met him.

Don't tell me you're cooking up a plan already for Moderator-Gate 2017?!

Also, we need a pic from your seats for something to think about tonight. :)

Oh, and diehard will be there, too, but my seats aren't near those guys unfortunately.

Nope, just the blurry USA tank top pic from 15 rows away. Maybe Chi could have been my matchmaker!

If North was down there too I'd be very skeptical that you all were up to something.

Sitting here with some Joni Mitchell on the computer. Man, that woman had some pipes and some writing chops.

I only knew about the Counting Crows' version of "Big Yellow Taxi" until 1 minute ago.

Joni's version blows the Counting Crows out of the water.

Oh it's real, but hard to believe it turned out with me in it.

Some people run toward a camera others away. Far far away.

My aging, curmudgeonly visage serves to frighten little children into eating their vegetables.  People tell their kids "if you don't eat your vegetables, you'll look just like him!!" I get paid good money to wander around farmers markets. So, there's that.

Well, we are moving in a week (across town), so I'm trying to finish some bottles so I have less to pack! Last night I finished the white port. Tonight I'm guessing beer....

We have almost no packing done, hoping to somehow finish a lot tonight, so I can do this tomorrow:

some of my favorites will be there.

Making a Moscow mule to start the night. What's everyone drinking to celebrate the weekend?

Coffee. With a shot of Baileys.

After that, more coffee, sans Baileys.

Back in the day, I was Guinness with a side of Jameson kind of guy. That day is long past, though.

Huh. I just bought Joni's version of Yellow Taxi on iTunes this morning. :)

Oh, and Surdyk's has a sale going on, so more Maker's Mark for this free man in Paris.

Is surdyk's reopened?

I like making names, if you need any help.

San Pablo. Is that a good name?

Minimum Apples?

St. Cloud Named Desire?

But i suppose it is like a rite of passage, or something.

It ain't the same lessin' ya do it yerself.

Anyway, i be a drivin' tonight, so i guess missing the game is on the docket.

Best to our players on the field!

Then there is this song, which Joni wrote and was turned into a huge hit by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young:

No kidding! I do love CSNY's version of that song too. I'm adding a bunch of her songs to a Spotify playlist as we type!

I just gave TC bear a high five, putting me much closer to the show.

What's funny, is that I was pointed back to this kind of Rock and Roll when the last show of "Breaking Bad" played Badfinger's "Baby Blue."

I'd forgotten just how good that stuff was along with how much talent there was back then. I enjoyed some of the hair bands and the heavy metal of the nineties but after that? I though music took a huge step backward when Rap became ascendant.

Yes, I know the younger crowd likes rap but, I just don't get it. Well, unless it's this:
