Where Will Trevor Plouffe Land

I wrote this up today and would like to start a discussion.

I wouldn't do this for just any #OldFriend, but he was well-respected and I think most of us hope he lands on his feet.

 

Where do you think he'll end up?

Can't see the Plouffe market heating up until February/March... My guess is he ends up on the A's.

There's a tiny part of me that hopes that happens.  The Twins took forever to realize he couldn't play shortstop. So he had to learn a new position in the majors.  He worked hard to get better at 3B and did it.  Provided an average of 3 WAR in 2014 and 2015 and then, after having injuries in 2016, he gets dropped.  I'll be rooting for him wherever he goes.

I think Plouffe is a class act. He went from being cringe-worthy at 3rd to very good, defensively. Trevor obviously put in a lot of hard work and it is hard to see him go.

It does look like the A's are the best fit. It also seems likely that it will be late in the off-season before he lands somewhere.

Just a pure guess here but I am going to say KC.  He could DH or fill in for Hosmer/Moustakas.

I think he'll go late in the offseason and cheap compared to arb projections to the Rays as a platoon mate for Miller and backup to Longoria
