ASG no longer determines WS home field advantage

Pablo would mash XBH's all day long... Along with tape measure HR's into the street. Ah, nostalgic childhood memories with this game.

My childhood baseball was spent on Roger Clemens MVP Baseball.  Pucker, Chuckno, Chill, Morjack and the rest of the Minnesota Hounds were always top notch.

I'm sure if my primary team was a NL team I would think that this All-Star HFA thing was a bad deal. And as the AL is a stronger league, it really is unfair to the NL.

I rather enjoyed the guys kind of goofing around in All-Star games. They still  wanted to win and they were definitely going to play hard, but John Kruk vs. Randy Johnson (1993) type of humor could sit poorly with some if it happened today.

I will watch the ASG as long as the best players keep going. In baseball the players seem to really feel it is an honor. That doesn't appear that is as true in the other major sports.

I think they got this one correct - not sad to see the All-Star game determining Home field advantage go away.   I could see also using overall Interleague record as well but I think I prefer the old-fashioned whichever team has the best record like they use in the NBA.   Wonder what they do in case of a tie?

In fairness, the only entity perpetuating that unfairness is the NL.  They can remedy that at any point they want.

My problem with using interleague record is that its like 20 games. I dont want such a small sample size deciding HFA.

I think the argument is for the league with the better interleague record to get HFA, not the team.

Don't forget Cal Ripken Baseball, which featured the Boston batting champ Spade Froggs!

Darryl Raspberry and Steve Clarinet are some favorites of mine.

Screw player licenses, that kind of creativity is way better.

Could not disagree more strongly

More specifically, I'd like to get rid of the unbalanced schedule between divisions and this seems like the easiest way.

About a year ago I posted a barely-readable report on how a less-unbalanced schedule would have made essentially no difference in who made the playoffs in 2015. I'm too lazy to find the link to it but it's in the archives somewhere.
