Not being familiar with the fist, why don't his enemies shoot him? (same question I asked about Harry Potter, btw.....well, not harry, his enemy)

be interesting to see how they handle it, but he's hardly the first hero susceptible to gun fire(Daredevil for one).  He also has amazing healing ability which allows him to heal himself and others.

did not know about the healing. Like I said, the trailer looked good, if familiar.

I'm not particularly convinced I'm going to like The Defenders either.  I've liked some of the parts building up so far, but Luke Cage and DD Season 2 were both a bit of a let down for me personally.  (Well, at least everything in the second half of those seasons.)

I liked both Luke Cage and DD season two but, yeah, the second half of both seasons paled in comparison to the first half. I thought Cage really fell off a cliff. Elektra was meh and Diamondback was legitimately kinda terrible.

And while I might be giving up too soon before the writers have a chance to redeem themselves via plot twits,

Not even going to give the schlocky and distracting "side" story that conveniently occurs during the crisis a chance?!?

Everything non-Punisher and non-Cottomouth stunk about those shows.  And that was a sizable portion of both.

I'll give it a shot, Marvel has earned that much, but the luster of this group of shows has worn off a bit for me personally.

Now....bring Fisk back into a prominent role and you might turn me around 180.

Rich white guy goes to Asia to save world thru mystic arts......where have I seen that over and over?

oh, and why not just shoot him with a gun from a distance?

And here I thought you were talking about that new Matt Damon movie. Looks like he goes to China to teach the Chinese how to defend the Great Wall from dragons or something.

Fisk better be a big part of Defenders.

Yeah, I'd think they're going to need about as an iconic of a villain as the Marvel movies will allow them to have. Kingpin is probably it. He's going to need an army, or something else quite powerful on his side though. So far none of the stand alone shows have had a villain that would have been overly difficult for a team of superheroes to take out, except for Kilgrave, but they went and killed him. I think that was a mistake.

Pretty sure I saw a preview of Matt Damon in samurai gear. You know how it goes, us white folks always have to go and teach everyone how to be good at everything.

Uncas.

Alan Alda wasn't Hawkeye, either.

Uncas gets killed by Magua, in both the book and the film. Chingachgook is the Last of the Mohicans.

And Hawkeye is an avenger, one of the worst ones too. Alda should be forgiven though, he's like 80, not bad for a superhero. And he's still better than Hot Lips who I don't think has any superpowers but is only there for eye-candy.

I'm pretty sure Loretta had super powers.....

So Brock, or any other comic book fan, does Marvel really have a character named Sydney Barrett? Or was that a made up character for the TV show? Obviously this character is inspired by Pink Floyd's original lead singer who had terrible mental health issues.

I'm not familiar with that character, though that doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

The guy who created, writes, and produces the series Fargo also created, writes and produces the Legion series. High expectations.  Watching it tomorrow when I can watch in in peace and solitude.
