DrNeau Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Has Park put a single pitch in play this year or has he basically struck out in every at bat?Except for that game-tying homer in the 8th inning, the other day. Yes, has been a pretty rough going.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Same **** different day. Get Park out of hereI believe you have already informed us of your opinion. We get it. luckylager, bird and USAFChief 3
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 You're right, of course, but it has been a pretty bad 25 at bats. He seems to have trouble recognizing and catching up to the fast ball and he can't seem to square up a Major League breaking ball. It might be better and more merciful to send him to AAA to break into American baseball and build his confidence. He looks over matched at the moment.Sure, it's been ugly... But most rational people thought that was a possibility going into the season. It was unlikely the guy was going to immediately thrive against vastly superior competition. He may need some time in Rochester. ScrapTheNickname and formerly33 2
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Okay, drop the Park talk. It's boring and annoying. The guy worked a good PA and then fouled out. It happens. At least it wasn't a damned strike out.Technically, Brock, that was an AB. Edited April 11, 2016 by Pardon My Dinger USAFChief, Platoon, bird and 1 other 4
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 another coin flip, random generation strike zone today I guess it's the same for both sides, so no complaining
KirbyHawk75 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Gibson is driving me nuts too. He just seems to be better than what he has performed. He is way to consistent. He just cannot be relied on.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Who is the Twins' team leader? Like the guy who gives out the encouragement or the criticism, or gets people fired up, or organizes team meetings or get-togethers? From the roster, I mean? One would think mauer or Perkins.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Alright, where's that damned ban button?I keed, I keed.

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 One would think mauer or Perkins. I think Mauer is too busy pushing buttons on his recording equipment in his studio, and Perkins is engrossed with arguing on twitter. Aggies7 1

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Ok, that collision* would have been Buxton's fault *not joking, they almost collided
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Agreed. We may have gotten a little overconfident based upon his ST performance. This lineup has issues with too many strikeout prone "power" hitters. He is the right one to go down and be replaced by someone who can put the ball in play, assuming we actually have that someone.Well, there's a "strikeout problem" and then there's "you're striking out in 60% of your plate appearances and not even leading the team in the stat, how's that even possible?" hybridbear 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Technically, Brock, that was an AB. And, as advertised, Brock ended up HATING it. Cap'n Piranha and Brock Beauchamp 2

When do the Twins get a guy like Bryant, Correia, or Kang or others that come up or over and just dominate (and stay that way for more than 1/2 a year)? Why does that NEVER happen here, when it clearly happens in other organizations? hybridbear 1

scottz Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Thanks for checking in. Did you make it "up" or "down"? I forgot to ask. How is the weather?Judging by how Target Field looks, I'd say up at least a little bit...kind of towards the top of Target Center, so I can't see much into left or center, but a tremendous view of the big glove. But everything seems a bit wonky. For example, the fireworks display during the National Anthem looked really spectacular instead of just being a few paltry pops and crackles, so I'm not really trusting my judgement right now. I suppose it could be a bit of a limbo situation. Pergatory-ish, maybe.OK, fellas. Still dead. Still hoping it was worth it. Let's scrap our way into another straight number inning. KirbyHawk75 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 What is frustrating is the Twins are really not that young. Yes, we have Sano, Buxton, Rosario, and May. However we also have Mauer, Plouffe, Dozier, Escobar, Suzuki, Santana, Gibson, Nolasco, Hughes, Perkins, Fien, Jepsen, and others. Part of me wonders if we would just be better off being bad this year and trading Plouffe, Dozier, etc and getting some more young guys. Aggies7, hybridbear, Mike Sixel and 2 others 5

Why does that NEVER happen here, when it clearly happens in other organizations?Well, we're still only in the seventh game of the season. If Sano turns it on, we forget he even struggled at all. It's just really painful in the here and now because just two hitters have looked competent this season.
