Any Interest in Non-Tenders?

Many of the non-tenders have been announced and all should be known in the next half hour. Are there any players that should interest the Twins?

 

The only two that would seem to fit IMHO would be relief pitcher Cesar Ramos, formerly of the Angels, and David Lough, who played last year for the Orioles. Lough would be a fourth or fifth OF, he's had some successs as a hitter against RH pitching and is regarded as a good defender at all three outfield spots. Ramos is LH and breathing, but posted pretty good numbers for the Angels, altough he didn't pitch in a lot of high-leverage spots.

The White Sox guys might be worth looking into a bit - Turner was a top 25 prospect and is only 25.  Maybe he can excel in the pen?  Flowers is a league average catcher.

I would pursue Holland. The Tommy John success rate has been good. If nothing else you can drive up the price for the Royals.

You mean for 2017? Holland just had the surgery, so I don't think he is pitching in 2016.

Yeah, sign Holland to a back-loaded 2 or even 3 year deal

I would look at Holland and maybe Henderson Alverez.  I am thinking Alverez is out until May though.

I would definitely try Turner in the bullpen.

The Braves non-tendered Mike Minor.  The lefty had surgery on his shoulder last year - torn labrum -  which is riskier than TJ surgery.  I'd guess that he'll eventually throw for clubs to show he's healthy.

The Twins tendered contracts to everybody, at this point there isn't any room for these type of players.

Heck the Twins could also sign Joe Nathan and Johann Santana, preferably to minor league deals.
