Hard to blame Jepsen either, he never should have been forced into the closer role for this team. He is what he is, a solid RP. When he struggles like he did off the bad and doesn't "have it" the Twins should have someone to be able to come in and bail him out. Not his fault the next best guy available was Duensing....

I still like him as the closer.

I still like him as the closer.

He is the best choice as of now, but give me Perkins 7 days a week. Jepsen has a bit of an inconsistency problem that you don't want out of your closer. Again, I'm THRILLED he is on our team next year, but he just isn't that "shut down" type you want out of a 9th inning guy, and not an elite 8th inning guy (but still can be a very good pitcher for the pen.
